We serve 3 nutritious meals a day Monday - Friday: breakfast, a homemade lunch, and snack. Our meals meet nutritional requirements established by the USDA. We are committed to healthy eating, and our lunch meals consists of multi-cultural foods. We serve whole grain for bread, and we avoid trans fats, high fructose corn syrup and partially hydrogenated oils.
For morning and mid-afternoon snack, we provide yogurt, cheese, crackers, fruit and milk and other healthy items. We serve milk or water for all meals and snacks. A weekly menu that repeats every month is provided to parents and posted in the classroom.
Parents can opt to bring in their own food for their infant (brought in properly sealed containers from home), or they can have us provide formula and baby foods. One-year-olds are eligible to eat snack and lunch. Older infants may be fed both our food and food brought from home.
All foods served are nut-free.
